ePublicator proHTML Crimson Editor

The ePub version of "And The Children's Teeth..." is gradually being edited to give it wider portability and greater functionality. The process is by no means completed and the earlier versions in pdf and Kindle format will inevitably lag behind the ePub version. For those who may be interested the tools I have been using for this, they are Crimson Editor to edit the HTML along with proHTML (to compile the chapters) and ePublicator to prepare the final ePub file. The former is a free download and the latter two are very inexpensive and available from Ledbury.co.uk.

And The Children's Teeth

Clicking on the book icon above will download the latest version of "And The Children's Teeth" in Epub format. Kindle and pdf format versions can be found below. The file is large, over 2,4Mb, and I will confess to some horribleness in this conversion which I will get round to fixing as and when.

And The Children's Teeth

Clicking on the book icon above will download the latest version of "And The Children's Teeth" - lets call it v 0.4. It is in .PRC format for the "kindle". In order to read it you will need either a kindle or a kindle emulator. The latter is available from Amazon for both MS Windows and Apple and several other platforms - follow the links on that page. When using the emulator download or copy the file to your kindle directory - probably My Kindle Content - unless you elected to change the default folder. It should then appear in the Library. From the kindle web browser the file should download directly to the device. There are undoubtedly numerous corrections to be made both to appearance and content and so it is very much a "beta" version at this stage. The book is actually thicker than the icon makes it appear - it will consume about 2.5Mb of your library. In order to be fair to those who do not have a kindle I will at some point in the future place here versions for different platforms including a "straight" html version.

  Liverpool Amphitheatre

This link will start download of the script of "Lectures on Colonial Slavery" a play based on the memorable series of debates on slavery which took place in the Liverpool Amphitheatre during August 1832. It was inspired by the realisation that Adam Hodgson's sister Anna married the evangelical Baptist preacher; the Reverend James Lister. A reading of the play is available here in Windows Movie File Format (.wmv) and I am rather afraid you will just have to put up with my execrable acting abilities; the anticipated all star cast having been "on the scene, missing".
